Lucknow: The Aliganj Police in Lucknow arrested a 21-year-old man on Monday in compliance with a non-bailable warrant issued by a local court in connection with an attempt to murder case.
The accused, identified as Prateek Saini alias Shivam Saini, son of Ravi Kumar Saini and a resident of Adarsh Puram, Triveni Nagar-III, Sitapur Road, was arrested from his residence by the Aliganj Police.
According to police officials, the arrest was made following a non-bailable warrant issued by the Court of the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Fast Track Court-II, Lucknow, in connection with Case No. 536/22, arising out of FIR No. 175/2020 registered at Aliganj Police Station under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
Police said the accused is being produced before the competent court after completing the necessary legal formalities.
The arrest was carried out by a police team led by Sub-Inspector Dhirendra Kumar Mishra, assisted by Constable Vipin Verma of Aliganj Police Station.
